I'm back!

Hi! Maui here again!  I have been wanting to partake in my Mom's activities lately, so I thought it would be appropriate that I let you know how this week has been going.  First off, me, I am doing much better.  My paw is pretty much all healed up from my cut.  My parents haven't taken me out on too many walks recently so hopefully now that they see that my paw is better they'll start taking me out on walks more.

At the beginning of the week my mom kept me up a little more than usual. She kept blowing her nose and was tossing and turning, not cool when trying to get some beauty sleep.  She told my dad she wasn't feeling to well but still left for work.  Why?  I don't know, I would have taken care on my mom and sister!
I went ahead and got my mom her medicine and thought she could use some wine, but when she got home, she wasn't very happy!  Humans, I don't understand them.  When they took the Christmas card picture I thought I got away without wearing the silly red hat with the white ball, but looks like they still got me!  When's my sister coming?  They need to put these silly hats on her! At least I got a delicious bone!

For the past couple of days, people have been coming to our door and leaving us presents.  My Mom and Dad weren't opening them.  So one day I decided I would help them out.

Nothing for me, so I just left them there. They got mad!  Geez, I'm just trying to helping out.

Woke up Christmas morning to find snow!!! I love playing in snow.  Why am I wearing this ridiculous sweater? My mom is getting bigger and bigger each day.  Maybe if she took me out on more walks this wouldn't happen!

What's up doc?

Oops! Looks like we missed week 25.  Week 25 was the week the entire family got to visit a doctor and we were a bit busy! Here I am at week 26.

Two weeks ago was Brian's  holiday work party. I braved the night and wore my favorite pair of Jessica Simpson high heels shoes!!  I was determined to wear them all night...and I did!!! I admit, my feet were a little tired at the end of the night. I went to bed that night feeling good because I survived a night in heals being 6 months pregnant.  About an hour of going to bed I found myself feeling horrible. I found myself hanging out with the porcelain king giving him my dinner from earlier that night.  It continued into all day Sunday.  After being treated to the pink stuff, I began to feel better.  Sunday night was much better and luckily was seeing my doctor on Monday afternoon.

My number one concern was our baby girl, not that I haven't felt this bad since my worst hangover! Baby was great, heartbeat at 140, and my belly was measuring 24-26 weeks.  I discussed with the doctor my night with Mr. Porcelain King and she said, "sounds like you had food poisoning."  Whaaat?!?! I've never been sensitive with food, apparently pregnancy makes you a bit more sensitive. Overall, my poisoning had passed and was feeling a lot better.  Visit with doctor #1, success!

One Wednesday night we were at our usual hangout, the Mueller Family living room...it's a happening spot! Maui kept licking her paw.  She usually licks her paws, but that night something didn't seem right.  As I took a closer look I realized she was bleeding and something was coming out of her skin. The following morning I called the vet and I was able to come in that same day.  I missed my meeting and canceled my tutoring. I was told she had a broken toe nail, needed to be sedated, and the nail needed to be pulled. The next day while they had her under, she had just cut herself right above her nail and needed stitches! Oh goodness, seriously?!?!?  She came home with a holiday sock.

We had doctor visit #2 and #3 the same day.  Brian dropped her off at the vet.  He went across the street for his first medical physical (not done by his parents).  He's in good health! Then went to pick up Maui. Besides being wrapped up she seemed like she felt better than ever.  Both visits...success!

On Saturday we decided to host a party.  We called it, "We don't have kids yet so let's party Party."  Nothing like a party to give a you motivation to decorate the house for the holidays.
This is step 1, next year we plan on being those crazy people where you can tune your radio to a song that goes with the lights! By the way, that's a plastic Santa and Snowman on the roof, Brian built a contraption to make sure they are secure and are level.  These are about $50 on craigslist and eBay because they don't make them anymore.  We found them on our way to work at a garage sale for $5!! Brian was afraid that someone would steal them. I mean, really, who would steal!?!? Not us...nooooo...never!!

Last year, Hurricane Maui destroyed our tree...
Therefore, we had to go with our small little backup tree.  So far, surviving!

I wanted to order our fourth stocking, but we still need to come up with a name, hmmm.

I had my typical pizza dip, taquitos, and caramel apple cheesecake dip. Of course, I was excited to try out some new recipes.  I love Pinterest!

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps
Highly Recommend these, they were delicious!

Giant S'mores Cookies
I had my computer up following recipes when suddenly my computer died due to a fried adapter and I couldn't charge the computer.  I hadn't pinned the cookies and couldn't find them on my phone.  So I had to go with what I remembered reading.  Everything turning out great, expect I forgot they were called GIANT s'more cookies.

The cookie was about the size of Brian's face! These giant cookies disappeared very quickly! Overall, the food was delicious and we enjoyed hanging out with our new Colorado friends.
I don't know if it's the fact that we're almost turning 30 or the lack of a Ransom, Parrish, Arseli, or College Station Stephanie, but we just don't party like the old days! We all still had a good time and enjoyed our fancy Kegorator.

This was our Christmas card.  Totally forgot to put the Santa hat on Maui.  My brain just doesn't function as great as it use to! Pregnancy brain does end, right?

I finally decided on a color/theme for the Baby room.  While at the Apple store getting a new cord, I casually hopped on over to Pottery Barn Kids.  I had finally found a bedding I liked! I was going to buy some fitted sheets when I realized that if I register I get a discount! So I did a quick registry, hehe!

Pink, chocolate, birds...that will be the theme!

It has been a busy two weeks of doctors and prepping for Christmas.  I'm exhausted and ready to just sit back and relax!

What Will it Bee?

The day finally arrived, the day of our Gender Reveal Baby Shower!! That morning, I woke up with a huge smile on my face knowing that in just a few hours I would know if we were having a little girl or boy. I was told to leave the house.  So my BFF, Stephanie, her daughter Harper, and I went to the mall for shopping and lunch.  The Mueller boys played what they called golf, but then realized they were playing pee-wee golf in comparison to the almost pro, P. Kief. Upon driving up to the house, we saw this.

I knew what awaited for me on the inside would be have me speechless.

We are so fortunate to have such an amazing family!  My brother-in-law married an amazing woman! Lauren, was amazing and organized a gender reveal baby shower for us. Being long distance from family and friends isn't easy.  Therefore, we wanted to do something special with this pregnancy with our family.  We missed the opportunity to see the faces of everyone when we announced that we were pregnant.  Therefore, it seemed perfect to all be together to react upon hearing the news of either a girl or boy. The decoration on the inside indeed left me speechless.  Lauren and my incredible mother had been getting together for a couple weeks creating perfect Pinterest like decor! So, "What Will it Bee?"

I secretly really wanted one to put in the baby's room.

Upon arrival guest got to wear either a bow or bow tie to show their prediction.  Almost everyone was wearing a bow tie!
Guest were given the opportunity to give us their baby advice.

Girl or boy, I was getting butterflies in my stomach!

Our candy bar with yellow and black candy.

My mom made us a diaper cake.  Holy cow...I couldn't believe how great it looked!!! The best part was I was able to bring it back to Colorado.

How cute is this?  In true Mexican fashion, we decided to break a piñata to find out if we were having a boy or girl.  Blue candy for boy and pink candy for girl.

 Our cupcake toppers.

Some got a little creative with their hair bows.

My favorite little sister!

Finally, the moment had come!  I had to admit I was so nervous!! Brian, he just drank a lot of beer.
I would post video but many of the videos were of grass or roof due to screaming because once it was busted....

PINK CANDY!!! WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!!!!!

People screamed, jaws dropped, and everyone was in total shock!  If we had been in Vegas, people would have lost a lot of money.  Both coming from the majority of boys in the families, the chances of a girl seemed slim. Brian's face was priceless!

Upon hearing the news of a girl, the boys decided it was only appropriate to chug beer. But since this was a baby shower, it had to be done with a baby bottle!

Another game, guest had to guess how much TP it would take to wrap around BOTH of us.  I didn't want to see how big I was, both of us seemed better.

Someone had to fill the piñata, therefore we had our first girl outfit and hair bow! I have to admit, I got a little choked up opening up gifts and seeing baby clothes.

Our Facebook announcement to tell the "world" we were having a girl!!! It was a great party and we could not have asked for anything better!

The next day, my mom and I went on a little shopping spree for little girl clothes!!! Then we found a frozen yogurt place that had...MANGOS!!!! I was in heaven.

This was defiantly a memorable Texas Trip!  To be honest, I still can't believe we are having a girl. Upon landing in Colorado on our way home I discovered something new with this pregnancy, swelling!! My poor little feet.

We had some fun with this week's chalkboard!

Deep in the Heart of Texas

There's nothing like coming back home to Texas. Before leaving, Brian enjoyed an incline hike with some coworkers. I decided to pass since I get winded going from the basement to our bedroom. Step class and zumba are my workouts.

I enjoyed my Saturday getting my hair done. I had heard that your hair is gorgeous while you are pregnant.  This hasn't been the case for me. Therefore, getting my hair done made me feel like a new woman.  I was ready for Texas!

What is Texas known for, well, BBQ of course.  Brian and I decided to take a little road trip to Driftwood, Texas for the best BBQ I have ever had. I think I would have wanted to do this even if I wasn't pregnant.  Thanks to the pregnancy my idea didn't seem too crazy to want to drive two hours away for dinner. I have a such a great family that decided to join for our ridiculous adventure.
See you later Saltlick! I hope to be back soon!!

Thanksgiving soon arrived, although I was more excited about our shower than Thanksgiving. First we had to pack.  In Texas what do you need? Boots, check! Guns, check!

Next, was a stop at
It's funny how a gas station can make you feel right at home.  Yes, the 82 bathroom stalls is impressive but the variety of shopping made me want to stop and look.  I found an A&M onesie. Our baby will be ready for next year's football season!
Our next stop was La Grange for Thanksgiving. Surprisingly, I didn't go too crazy during dinner. I enjoyed visiting with all the Muellers.  There's a lot of them.  Since I didn't have my chalkboard, we still took at picture for 23 weeks. My bump and everything else is really coming along!
What's it like to hang out the Muellers?  Our dear friend Matt recently posted this to our fantasy football page. If not in La Grange, Mueller gatherings are also found at the lake.  This a great summary...

The Mueller family ski boat
The boat may not look like much, but the passengers and drivers are liable to do the unexpected. If you go against them, be prepared to have the wakeboarder they're towing behind them pull an inverted-helicopter jump off a ramp and then land in your boat with a potato-gun they built themselves and wheel around your cabin in a unicycle. Daring. Unpredictable. Possibly dangerous. Always entertaining. The Mueller Family.
What's more, they keep breeding.

I like to move it...

Week 22 has been full of movement.
Baby Mueller is kicking and punching.  I had heard people describe how amazing the feeling is...now I totally understand! Now I just wish Brian could feel it.  This week has just flown by. The main thing I remember from this week is going to work and getting another sonogram.

On Monday I enjoyed my day off sleeping in, going out for lunch with a friend, and then another sonogram!  During lunch I had a Dr. Pepper, which tasted AMAZING. I haven't had one in months!! While laying down, the doctor mentioned I may want to look away.  I told her I honestly can spot the head and that's about it. It took about 30 seconds and she said, "done!" Really? No legs crossed this time. Only a few more days and we shall what we are having.

We had another exciting moment, our crib and dresser arrived and put together!  Made me think, "Wow,  this $h!t just got real!!"

Now it is time to start packing for Texas!!!

21 and Tired!

Here we are at 21 weeks and I'm exhausted! Can you tell?

They say the second trimester is when you are feeling the most energized.  Really? Tired has now taken on a new meaning.  I have recently been working more full-time.  Yes, I see those eyes rolling!  I haven't worked this much since May, just not use to it.  I am picking up more sub jobs and now tutor twice a week.  Plus these past two weeks were filled with four days of parent/teacher conferences that ended with me coming home around 7pm! Now, let's add the pregnancy on top of that. My feet are tired, my back hurts from sitting from the floor to little chairs, to being on feet most of the day. On the bright side I was feeling sad I hadn't felt a lot of movement.  This week, Baby Mueller is really moving!! One of the coolest feelings!

This week we went in for another sonogram.

Everything is going great! Heartbeat is at 159 bpm.  All the body parts are the appropriate size. Our doctor mentioned the legs were a little short. Brian and I just laughed.  I mean, have you seen how tall we are?  We weren't exactly expecting a tall child. But no concerns, and we still have a couple months of growing. We have an 85% gender guess from the lab tech written in a sealed envelope. Why the guess?  Little Mueller had his/her legs crossed. Luckly, I have an awesome doctor who will take another look.  To hopefully make our 85% closer to 100%! We only got a head shot.  I wonder if this is because we told them we didn't want to know the sex. We are excited to learn the gender, November 24th will be an exciting day!!

Happy Halloween!

I cannot believe that Halloween finally arrived!! There has been much anticipation for this day, but we've had some fun fall moments in between.

We began with a trip to a pumpkin patch that included a corn maze.  I wanted to take some pictures to show off my new baby bump.  As I am coming to find out, angles in pictures make a HUGE difference. So there was the cute little bump and then there was the BUMP!

There was a two-second time difference, but it looks like a 3 month time difference! CRAZY!!

We got our second big present, parents give the best presents!!! Our jogging stroller arrived.  After reading multiple reviews, we decided to get the B.O.B.  I was ready to show off to Brian that I could put it together...fail!  Brian had to step in.  Mind you, all you needed to do to assembly this fancy contraption was add the wheels. Pretty sure this will be one of many scenes where Brian is assembling something I failed to do.

Awhile back I was on Pinterest (surprise, surprise) and found this cute skeleton Halloween shirt.  I decided to get it and wear to school.  I figured this would be a great way to tell the kids Mrs. Mueller was having a baby. Honestly, I'm surprised they hadn't said anything.  Kids are usually pretty honest and will let you know when anything is different about you. Well, since no one had said a word I was eager to hear their reactions.  Our team wanted to dress up as group so we came up with the idea of being Pinkalicious, Purplicious, Silverlicious, and Goldilicous.  I decided to make up my character and be Babylicious!

Everyone loved our costumes!! These were some of the reactions of the kids...
-"You're having a baby?  Is it a boy or girl"
-Boy taps on my belly, "Yep, I feel it!"
-Boy stares at the baby skeleton, "So there's a real baby in there? When are you going to give it back?"

Being pregnant around 6 and 7 year olds will be interesting!

Halloween day was a lot of fun not only during school, but also at home. Brian decided to scare the neighborhood children with the creepy Burger King head.  As one child put it, "What the..." my thoughts exactly kid!

We ended our night we our monthly chalkboard bump photo. I can't believe we are halfway to meeting little Baby Mueller!! Boy or girl I just keep praying for a healthy pregnancy.
