Happy Halloween!

I cannot believe that Halloween finally arrived!! There has been much anticipation for this day, but we've had some fun fall moments in between.

We began with a trip to a pumpkin patch that included a corn maze.  I wanted to take some pictures to show off my new baby bump.  As I am coming to find out, angles in pictures make a HUGE difference. So there was the cute little bump and then there was the BUMP!

There was a two-second time difference, but it looks like a 3 month time difference! CRAZY!!

We got our second big present, parents give the best presents!!! Our jogging stroller arrived.  After reading multiple reviews, we decided to get the B.O.B.  I was ready to show off to Brian that I could put it together...fail!  Brian had to step in.  Mind you, all you needed to do to assembly this fancy contraption was add the wheels. Pretty sure this will be one of many scenes where Brian is assembling something I failed to do.

Awhile back I was on Pinterest (surprise, surprise) and found this cute skeleton Halloween shirt.  I decided to get it and wear to school.  I figured this would be a great way to tell the kids Mrs. Mueller was having a baby. Honestly, I'm surprised they hadn't said anything.  Kids are usually pretty honest and will let you know when anything is different about you. Well, since no one had said a word I was eager to hear their reactions.  Our team wanted to dress up as group so we came up with the idea of being Pinkalicious, Purplicious, Silverlicious, and Goldilicous.  I decided to make up my character and be Babylicious!

Everyone loved our costumes!! These were some of the reactions of the kids...
-"You're having a baby?  Is it a boy or girl"
-Boy taps on my belly, "Yep, I feel it!"
-Boy stares at the baby skeleton, "So there's a real baby in there? When are you going to give it back?"

Being pregnant around 6 and 7 year olds will be interesting!

Halloween day was a lot of fun not only during school, but also at home. Brian decided to scare the neighborhood children with the creepy Burger King head.  As one child put it, "What the..." my thoughts exactly kid!

We ended our night we our monthly chalkboard bump photo. I can't believe we are halfway to meeting little Baby Mueller!! Boy or girl I just keep praying for a healthy pregnancy.

Weddings vs Babies

We hit our big wedding season last year, but this year it seems like it's baby season.  My Facebook page is mostly filled with new and upcoming babies.  Pictures at the bars are diminishing slowly, while new family pumpkin patch pictures are appearing everyday! It's funny how quickly life can change.

This weekend we completed another registry at BuyBuyBaby.  Being right next to the BedBathandBeyond reminded me of how different our lives have become.  When we registered for our wedding all you could hear was our scanner gun beeping every second. This time, all you could hear was, "Beep"....pause for 10 minutes..."Wait, what is this for?" Why do we need this?" "Can we make sure we don't get anything that squeaks like a turkey!" "It's cost, how much?!?!"

We finished our weekend with a date night playing miniature golf and arcade games! We had so much fun shoving the kids out of the way and showing them how it was done! We got an Elmo for our baby and Brian got a whoopie cushion.  We couldn't stop laughing! We would try to hide it under a blanket and have Maui sit on it!! Just typing this makes me literally laugh out loud! Yep, we're going to be awesome parents!!

This week we got our second round of snow!! The weather inspired this week's chalkboard. Sara is out of town to help with my fruit drawing, this is the best I could do for a mango.

Week 18

The weeks are just flying by.

Well, I haven't felt any new movements but during my last doctor's appointment the heartbeat (145) was a  little tricky to find due to our little one that wouldn't stop moving...why am I not surprised!   Our little girl/boy is beginning to hear my voice and some noises.  They say to begin singing to your baby or reading books. We read almost daily, when I read with my kids in the classroom. I don't sing, but I do yell.  I yell at the t.v. every Saturday when the Aggies play.  I yell at Maui when I come home when I find that she came across something she should't have. That works, right?

We are beginning to get our baby room ready! This past weekend we picked out our crib.  It will arrive  in about a month.  That gives me about a month to start cleaning out junk.

We have begun receiving gifts.  I'm in love with all the cute stuff.

I've seen this done and I decided to write one too!

Week 17

My name is Maui Mueller.

Recently, things have been very different around here.  There is a different scent to my Mom.  Not only is she acting different but I find myself acting different.  For the past couple weeks I find myself in need to protect my family.  I spend most of the days on the chair by the window on alert for danger! I don't want people or animals near my family!! So if they come too close, my fierce growl keeps them away.  If they still don't listen, I have no choice but make myself loud and clear and bring out my even more fierce bark!  Take that, strangers!!

Then there is Mr. Bear.  My Aunt Sara gave my Mom and Dad a gift.  It was this brown bear.  I was so excited for my new toy!! But for some strange reason they put it in a room that always has the door closed.  Apparently, my Mom has been forgetting a lot of things recently so maybe she forgot to give me my bear.  So one day, I went ahead and just got it myself. I love to cuddle and kiss this bear.  When my Mom came home, she wasn't happy that I took it.  This time they placed it up by the mail.  Did she forget to put it on the floor for me?  Well, again, I went ahead and got it myself. Once again, she wasn't very happy.  So why don't they just give me my bear!!

Now I wake up frequently through out the night.  My mom keeps getting in and out of bed and keeps waking me up.  The other night, she got all worked up...while I was sleeping.  There I was dreaming about catching those rabbits when suddenly she yells out, "Brian, I felt the baby move!" I have no idea what she was talking about, but something about feeling some thumps in her stomach.  Then during our daily naps she woke me up again to tell Dad about feeling something move.  I wonder if this will continue, she keeps interrupting my sleep.  She also keeps taking these pictures and this time I was included, of course, I'm beautiful!

165 more days!

The weeks are passing by so quickly! I am enjoying creating my chalkboards! Thanks to Sara, the fruit ninja, who has helped draw my weekly fruit.

How am I feeling?  Great! Morning sickness is gone.  I still enjoy my naps, but really, who doesn't enjoy naps? This week, pregnancy brain is in full swing!  I think Siri and I need to become BFFs. I find my myself making extra rounds at school.  For example, while subbing I went from the classroom I was in back to my classroom to pick up some papers.  I arrive to my classroom and decide to get my water bottle. I go back to other classroom when I realize I forgot to get the papers, the reason I went to my room in the first place.  I have had to apologize repeatedly to those around me. Oops, I can't sub for you, forgot I was leaving town this weekend.  Oops, no Brian, your parents are coming in NEXT weekend.  Oops, what were the TWO things I had to get from the store that we just discussed 30 seconds ago after being dropped off at the door?

The big one, I almost got into my first chick fight at the gym.  I took this girl's weights during 50/50 class swearing that they were mine.  After her and I debated I said, "don't worry I'll just get other ones" while giving her a dirty look for allegedly stealing MY weights I set aside.  As I go back to my bench with new weights I find my weights, Oops, I now have 4 five pound weights!!! I forgot I set them down in front of me.

Then there are the crazy dreams!!! In my dreams Brian and I could see our baby.  We were so excited to see our little monkey with squid arms swimming around my see-through belly. I was happy our baby didn't look like an alien but rather a monkey!

I am sure more will come! Still don't feel any movements, but hopefully those will come soon! Let's see what craziness happens next week!
